A Fond Farewell to Andrew Starkey
On Friday 24th October, we said a heartfelt farewell to Andrew Starkey, who retired after an incredible 23 years of service with SPE Ltd. Andy, a time-served CNC Milling Machinist, has been an integral part of our team, specialising in precision-milled parts for a wide range of industries including motor, aerospace, and medical.
Throughout his career, Andy’s attention to detail, work ethic, and dedication to quality have set a high standard for those around him. His contribution to our success over more than two decades cannot be overstated, and he leaves behind not only a legacy of excellence but also the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends.
Andy is now looking forward to enjoying his retirement—spending more time with his family, tending to his garden, and enjoying a well-deserved slower pace of life. From all of us at SPE Ltd, we extend our warmest thanks and best wishes to Andy for a long, happy, and fulfilling retirement.
A Milestone Achievement for Dave Barnet
At the same time, we’re delighted to celebrate Dave Barnet, who has reached an impressive 25 years of service with SPE Ltd. Dave first joined us as an apprentice at the age of 18, eager to learn and develop his skills as a CNC Turner. Through years of dedication and hard work, he has progressed to become a highly skilled time-served Turner, recognised for his precision, professionalism, and passion for his craft.
Dave’s commitment to excellence is matched by his willingness to share his knowledge and experience. As one of our many skilled and long-serving team members, he takes great pride in mentoring the next generation of apprentices, ensuring that SPE’s reputation for craftsmanship, reliability, and quality continues well into the future.
